Travis Kelce Says He’s ‘Excited for My First Christmas as a Married Man’ and Looks Forward to ‘Starting New’ Traditions With Wife Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce is already looking forward to celebrating the festive season as Taylor Swift‘s husband, with the Kansas City Chiefs star eager to bring old family traditions into a new chapter of their lives.
“I’m excited for this year to be my first Christmas as a married man,” the football star said in a promotional video for Tommy Hilfiger’s winter 2026 campaign.
Kelce Is Ready for New Holiday Traditions
Kelce and Swift tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.
“I love all the old traditions and can’t wait to start some new ones,” the football star, 37, told Women’s Wear Daily. “I start celebrating as that tree goes up.”
Family Is Part of His Perfect Christmas
The tight end also offered a glimpse into his ideal holiday in the campaign video, making it clear that his close ones would be at the center of the celebration.
“This is my perfect holiday. I have a night game on Christmas Day with my entire family,” he stated. “My mother, [Donna], baking blueberry muffins.”
He Has Christmas Onesies on His Mind
Kelce brought a little humor to the festive conversation when he appeared to have his holiday wardrobe in mind.
“What am I wearing? We got any Tommy Christmas onesies somewhere?” he asked in the clip.
The playful remark came as part of the “The Perfect Holiday” campaign, with the seven-time All-Pro selection joining a lineup of sports and entertainment personalities who also shared the seasonal rituals that make the holidays special to them.
Swift Has Always Loved the Holiday Season
Kelce’s wife is also a longtime Christmas enthusiast. The 14-time Grammy winner, 36, previously traced her affection for the season to her childhood in Pennsylvania, where she grew up on a Christmas tree farm.
“Yeah, I really love Christmas, I wish it was all year round. Just like for the feeling that everybody has — everybody’s buying gifts for each other and there’s sort of a feeling about it,” the musician shared in a 2013 interview. “But I think that the fact that I love it so much is probably because I grew up on a Christmas tree farm.”
The pop icon has carried that festive spirit into her music, releasing the holiday song “Christmas Tree Farm” in 2019.
